It's great if your child wants to show you some steps but please do not insist. A child cannot remember everything taught. Should your child feel pressured, a dislike for dancing can develop.

After the "newness" wears off, sometimes a child will want to quit. Often this mood is the result of having to miss a play period. Encouraging your child to finish a season of dance once they have started helps them to "see things through".
